Adulterated Cocaine Warning

Cocaine worldwide is being cut with an extremely dangerous pharmaceutical called Levamisole. So what’s the big deal? Isn’t cocaine already “dangerous” and notoriously cut with all kinds of garbage, most predictably plain old speed (amphetamine), arguably a much greater health risk than pure cocaine?
Well, Levamisole is a little different. It is no longer used on humans and for good reason. It can spontaneously induce a sudden and radical immune system crash called agranulocytosis. And Levamisole is not being added by dealers at the local level hoping to increase profits, but rather the original Latin American producers, making it almost impossible to circumnavigate the usual chain of adulteration.
